On my 20th birthday I was living in Alaska. A good friend got the hook up with some kayak rentals and we spent the day paddling in and out of coves along the base of the mountains. At one point we came on two humpback whales just 10-15 feet from where we were paddling. One of the most beautiful and terrifying moments. Such a great memory.
